Clooney Movie

One of my favorite movies of the last couple of years was THANK YOU FOR SMOKING, directed by Jason Reitman. Well, it turns out that I 'll be working on his latest, UP IN THE AIR - starring George Clooney as a corporate "Firing Specialist" who is obsessed with getting a million frequent flyer miles. I'll be playing a businessman in scenes shot in Miami. I may not say anything, but I plan to have a great time!

Earth Day?

As an Earthling, I am deeply appreciative of all the wonders our planet provides and am in awe of its uniqueness. Last week, some of you may have celebrated Earth Day and I wonder why? I was around when the first Earth Day came about close to 40 years ago. Its Founder was a felon named Ira Einhorn who chopped up one of his girlfriends and fled to France when he jumped bail. I remember the scientists of the time predicting horrible calamities that would ensue if we did not turn away from our… Continue

"Very French"-Art Helping Children

"Very French", 8x10

I painted this last week on Earth Day (that's why it's so green!) and decided that it's quirky enough that some people would love it. For that reason, I posted it on ebay at a low starting bid of only $9.99 to attract additional bids. ALL of the proceeds for this painting will be donated back to The Children's Defense Fund, a non-profit children's advocacy group out of Washington D.C.

I'm working on my third book and YOU can help choose the content!

In the marketing of my own games, TriBond and Blurt, I've often said that if you record a piece of music that sells a million copies, you're awarded with a platinum album and promoted on the cover of Rolling Stone. If you write a book that sells a million copies you become a "New York Times Best-selling Author" and you're promoted in that prestigious newspaper. Yet, if you design a game that sells 10, 20, 50, or a 100 million copies, you are unknown outside of toy nation. Alfred… Continue

FEED HUNGRY KIDS

It is a well know fact that artists are some very caring people. We seem to see and feel more vibrantly. Here's a great chance to help hungry kids in our community.

Feeding Hungry Kids

In Sarasota County alone, more than 1,000 kids in kindergarten through third grade experience hunger. Many of them are also homeless. The Warren BackPack Program aims to end hunger for these children by picking up where state-funded programs… Continue

Pick Me!

Friday afternoon, as I was driving to Orlando, I got a call from my agent about doing an audition on Monday in Miami. This is the first lead from my new takent agent and it looks really interesting. The role is an international bad guy whose mega-yacht is attacked by Navy Seals. Bad Guy roles are always much more interesting than heroes. So, I will be crossing over Alligator Alley to South Beach with the image of International Bad Guy in my mind.. The timing is good as filming of SUBPRIME is… Continue

"That would be harsher punishment for parole violators, Stan … and world peace."

As American as apple pie: "Smile" provides a platform for some musical-theater stars of tomorrow, but also gives rise to thought.

As I was driving home from tonight's Opening Night of "Smile", the musical by Marvin Hamlisch and Howard Ashman that deals with the "American Young Miss" beauty pageant of 1985, a couple of thoughts went through my mind: I was impressed with the cast's obvious hard work to bring this performance to the Players' stage; I "discovered" (for…

TV? Film?

The movie SUBPRIME is moving along and it's time to plan for the next project(s). My talent agent has my headshots and I have fortunately linked up with famed casting director Lori Wyman to do a booksigning and a two day weekend workshop on Auditioning for TV & Film here in Sarasota! It was one of my goals to have her see the talented actors we have in the area. As a former marketeer, I found that asking her to find the time to come here was worth the effort. And, every actor who reads her… Continue

"The colour of illumination" Poetry by Elisabetta Errani Emaldi

The colour of illumination

Back in the far away time of the universe,

a pearl of sensual pleasure falls between two

parentheses and closes the gate of the earthy

deceit leaving grow in my summer garden,

under the olive tree of peace, a sea

of orange flowers,

the colour of illumination.

Universal love to the beat of the heart that awakens.

The refrain from…

Friday April 10th... Film prep...

I sit here, doing what I should not... talking about myself in a blog. I shoot day four of my film in just a little over 12 hours and still have plenty of work to do.

With that said, it's back to work.
