"Multiverse," Leo Villareal Installation-Installation, Part 3

Multiverse (2008), a site-specific LED sculpture by Leo Villareal, is currently on view in the Concourse walkway connecting the East and West Buildings of the National Gallery of Art. The sculpture, which includes approximately 41,000 LED (light-emitting diode) nodes controlled by custom-designed software, is Villareal's largest and most ambitious work to date. Learn more about the artist's programming method as well his conceptual and technological inspiration in this studio interview. The sculpture, which will be on view until November 2009, was generously funded by Victoria P. and Roger Sant, and Sharon P. and Jay Rockefeller.

Vermeer: Master of Light-The Music Lesson, Part 2

Vermeer: Master of Light is a visual pilgrimage in search of what makes a Vermeer a Vermeer. It is a journey of discovery, guiding the viewer through an examination of three of Johannes Vermeer's paintings and exploring the "secrets" of his technique. Utilizing the potential of x-ray analysis and infrared reflectography as well as the power of computer technology, the program delves beneath the surface of the paintings to unveil fascinating insights into Vermeer's work. This film celebrates one of the most extraordinary painters in the history of art. Narrated by Meryl Streep, with commentary by Arthur Wheelock, curator of northern baroque paintings, National Gallery of Art, and David Bull, conservator. This segment uses computer technology to deconstruct The Music Lesson and demonstrate to the viewer how Vermeer has painstakingly placed every object in the painting to achieve his desired result.

Hi Ron -- "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!" This is to invite you to Elysian Fields, where I will be giving Intuitive Readings on December 14 (10:30 - 3:30), December 16 (4 - 7:30 pm) and December 28 (10:30 - 5:30), if you're into that. I'd love to tell you about your aura and life path energy, or else answer any questions you may have. I've been seeing auras since birth and painting images of my visions since age three.

Please check out at my web site (shaman.mosaicglobe.com) or Elysian Fields' web site (elysianfieldsonline.com) for more info. You may also call me (415-244-9445) or call Elysian Fields (941-366-4982) for an appointment. I look forward to having the chance to meet you.

Truly, Jack
