About Me
After a long career in the performing arts , Maryanne began to paint in 2006 after an unexpected move to Florida provided some leisure time to pursue long-forgotten interests. Maryanne is the former Artistic Director of the West Chester Ballet Theatre, and regional director of The Rock School West. Although primarily self- taught, Maryanne has enjoyed studying painting under Jon Greeley, Julie Hanson, Hodges Soileau and Rob Liberace. She has a unique style, that combines elements of contemporary impressionism with fauvism and realism.

thoughts of sparrows, migration and missions

I am glad that the Paint-Out in Paradise went well last week, and is over. We had decent weather, though it was inconsistent from day to day. Last night the hubby and I watched the sparrow migration over on Laurel Road in Venice. It was simply awesome! That got me to thinking about Mission San Juan

MaryAnne,
That's quite a resume. What are you doing now? I am in Exton right now on a job search trip. Any leads that you know of?
I've also come here to reconnect with my former academic advisor at Penn. I will be teaching World Music at area colleges back in Sarasota.

Hi Maryanne, thank you! I love your vibrant style & color in your paintings! I understand about working Real Estate, it's not fun like working art. My goal with Real Estate is still to create an International Art center and retirement community, but it's going to be awhile with these times. Did I meet you when the Venice Art center had a booth at the Chamber of Commerce meeting about 6 weeks ago? Or at the Englewood Art center when I was teaching classes there? Look forward to getting some classes going in Venice and meeting you sometime. Best wishes
