About Me
Originally from Indianapolis, I moved here as a teenager. I'm music director/organist at Siesta Key Chapel and Temple Emanu-El and founder/director of the Sarasota Camerata Choir, one the newer choral ensembles in Sarasota. My interest in music grew from playing the organ and piano to composing, and I have written choral music that has been performed by groups in Sarasota such as Gloria Musicae, Key Chorale, and the Suncoast Chorale. My original composition, Memorial Requiem has been performed several times in the Sarasota/Venice area and the "Pie Jesu" has been heard in England and on the nationally syndicated radio program "Pipe Dreams." My CD of original songs, Wandering, is available through CD Baby.

The things I like most about the Sarasota/Manatee area
The Gulf of Mexico has been a close friend for many years. . . plus, having so many health food stores in one city is a big bonus. Of course, the many venues for concerts, and the people you can meet here from all over the world.
My Interests & Hobbies
Cats, especially Abyssinians. Gardening, or should say weeding, since my garden is mostly that. Vegetarian cooking is also an interest. Politics. . . I do follow what goes on there. I love to run, work-out and be active. I also like to go to the theatre and concerts but seldom have the time. There is so much to do here in Sarasota, but my preference would be hiking in the mountains. I tend to be a more solitary type of person!
My Favorite Local Restaurant
Ivo's Ristorante, Whole Foods
My Favorite Place to Experience the area the Way Locals Do
Walking or experiencing Siesta Key Beach when there are few people around (is this possible anymore?). . . I don't know--what DO the locals do?
My Favorite Local Event(s)
The Main Street parades. I cannot afford to go to most of Sarasota's events!

Good to see you on AArts! Checked out the Siesta Key Chapel link, I've been there a long time ago at a friends wedding. Great pic's, I really like that pic with the Bronze Frog sitting next to you on the bench. Is that in Sarasota? Best wishes
