Happy Easter! I am pleased to announce the launch of an Indiegogo campaign for TRANSMOGRIFY MAGAZINE, an upscale arts and culture magazine based in Sarasota, which my team has been developing for over a year. We have many high profile interviews and content ready to publish, including a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, award winning fantasy/Sci-fi Artists and filmmakers, etc. As many of us artists are aware, the arts coverage in Sarasota media can be very sparse, even considering it is such an active and diverse arts community, which is exactly why we are crafting this upscale publication.

We need the community's support to launch the first issue. Please spread the word to make the vision a reality:

I have a question, which might make for a good discussion topic. While outlining the short that I will be writing, I am torn between making plot the major focus, or making character the main focus. Most books on writing say that PLOT is critical, yet the movies, plays, and scripts that I have read seem to have the CHAR...ACTER as the main focus. So, which is it? Can a poor plot be saved by a great character, or can the plot save poor characters?

There is a poets group that meets at the GulfGate library on Mondays.  I'm not a member, but know they meet every other week.  I belong to a small group of writers, and there are two or three of us that write poetry.

poetry and poets flourish . . . then decline, Robin.

Ahhh... if you haven't checked out The Misplaced Comedy Group... Now's your chance! "We're Everywhere!" On-Line... and soon again On stage! Just out all the new videos, audio & video Podcasts, The New Reality (behind the scenes) Mini Episodes, and in the works... MCG TV! and don't forget the many T-shirts, CDs and memorabilia found on their site, as well as ReverbNation! ...some say we're "Too Soon"... but obviously it's too late.
(the T-Shirts and videos say it all).
