On July 4, I will be releasing my new book The McAllister Code at www.themcallistercode.com. The book is an interstellar adventure through the mind and heart about a couple of aliens who come to Sarasota in order to make it into a marketing mecca. Initially, the book will be distributed through serial email publication for the cost of only one dollar. Sign up now to be among the first to read it.

You Might be an Artist IF.....

...you spent the bulk of your school years daydreaming out the class window. Or, if you DID take notes, they were animated.

...at any given moment, you have paint under at least one of your fingernails from your latest artistic endeavor.

...even your most “dress up” clothes have a bit of paint on them, somewhere.

...you find that you can get away with odd behavior, barely noticed, save for a roll of the eyes and a muttered, “...she’s an artist, y’know”.

...your kids knew the primary colors AND how to make the secondary colors before they even knew the name of the street that they lived on.

...you know for a fact that Ramen noodles can sustain life indefinitely.

...you rather LIKE the smell of paint, terpentine, most glues and yes, markers.

...you can make it through an entire day, including grocery shopping, talking to the neighbor, and a meeting with a client...only to have a ten year old finally point out the swish of blue paint on your forehead.

...at the end of the day, even though the kitchen is spotless, there are always a few freshly cleaned paint brushes, drying by the kitchen sink.

Delighted to be part of this community! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. I'm a student taking some online classes right now, working toward a BFA in Illustration, so if I don't get back to you right away, I'm probably up against a deadline. :)

Love to draw portraits, childrens murals, animals. Wish I had more time to devote to my artwork. Love the downtown artwalk.
