I must say that this has been a joyous journey finally getting this show onstage. It has been 2 years in the making, and we are in the final stages of rehearsals for the premiere show on October 27th. I am so grateful that my friends from New York will be showing up. I have met some incredibly supportive people, who for some reason, kept encouraging me even when I felt like giving up. I still have no idea why someone who has written some prolific songs for singers like Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Reba McEntire and Garth Brooks, wrote a song for me for this show; but I am just grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with this guy.
Fabulous people from Connecticut who introduced my music on the radio; and then got me a show in New York. This seems like it was meant to be.
From the investors in the show, to the publicists, photographers, web-site designers, carpenters, musical director, promoters, writers and so many more too numerous for me to even begin to list who have so generously contributed of their time and expertise - I hope I will make you proud. If putting my heart and soul into a performance means anything, I am hoping that this premiere will be a dazzler.
The show opens in Punta Gorda on Oct 27th, just in time for Halloween. It is a story set to music and magic, about finding our true self through overcoming adversity and darkness into triumph and light.
The 15-year-old singing sensation, Marcella Brown, simply sparkles in the opening act.
My wish is that everyone will leave being entertained and little bit uplifted in their hearts. I hope you will take some time to watch the video and perhaps decide to some to the show.
Congratulations, Joe. I know how hard you worked on this.
