ARTIST SERIES OF SARASOTA presents Carol Wincenc, flutist

Flutist Carol Wincenc has premiered numerous works wtirring for her by some of today's most prominent composers. She has created and directed a series of International Flute Festivals featuring such diverse artists as Jean-Pierre Rampal, Herbie Mann and the American Indian flutist R. Carlos Nakai. She is joined by Giuseppina Ciarla, principal harpist with the Sarasota Opera and Iowa's Des Moines Opera. Born in Italy, she began her harp studies at age 12. She has performed with the Santa Fe Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, the Santa Fe Symphony, El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the Arizona Opera Company, and many more.
